These training activities will be individually certified as “Ações de Curta Duração” (ACD) (Short Duration Courses) by Pró-Inclusão (National Association of Special Education Teachers), as provided for in the Regime Jurídico da Formação Contínua de Professores (Legal Framework for Continuing Education for Teachers).

Portuguese Sign Language, in its genesis, has no musical terms or concepts, since it was assumed that they would not make sense in the universe of the deaf community. One of the guiding objectives of this training action is therefore to demonstrate that it is possible to express in Portuguese Sign Language certain musical concepts, such as the notion of intensity, polyphony, metrics and the formal structure of a piece of music, in addition to the interpretation of the poem itself, developing a piece of music from scratch.Portuguese Sign Language, in its genesis, has no musical terms or concepts, since it was assumed that they would not make sense in the universe of the deaf community.
