The highly specialized teaching of the Conservatório de Música da Metropolitana is recognized for the excellence of the students, both in individual work and in the youth orchestras, which are a pillar of this school.
The curricular program responds to the challenges currently faced in artistic education, with official study plans, under the legislation in force for Specialized Artistic Education of Music, eminently practical and adapted to different age groups: children, young people and adults.
In addition to individual lessons, students have, from the beginning of the various courses, ensemble and orchestra practice. The Piccola Orquestra Metropolitana and the Orquestra Juvenil Metropolitana , among other ensembles, are created according to age groups and level of performers.
Throughout their training, they also benefit from the natural proximity with the other schools of the Metropolitana project, the Metropolitana Professional School and the Higher National Academy of Orchestra, as well as with the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon itself.

The Conservatório de Música da Metropolitana is intended for children and young people who demonstrate an aptitude and desire for specialized musical training.
