Bilhetes à vendaAs part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution and the start of the transition to democracy, the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs of Portugal and Spain are promoting a joint cultural programme that runs until September 2025. It is in this context that the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra returns to the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, where it performed in December 2018. This time, it takes to the stage with a creation by Anne Victorino d’Almeida that interweaves explicit quotations from songs by José Afonso and a small symphony by Lopes Graça, two great symbols of political resistance. The programme is completed by Falla and Prokofiev.
