This programme begins at dawn and ends in an intense storm, just after dusk. These are three symphonies with which Haydn wanted to get to know the musicians in the orchestra of the princes of Eszterházy, whose direction he had recently taken over in 1761. He composed so that everyone could shine. That’s why some moments feel like solo concerts. Now on the Tivoli stage, the sounds are mixed with the real-time projection of drawings and many colours, by the hand of António Jorge Gonçalves.
