The Almost6 project was born in 2007 with the formation of a trumpet and percussion quintet. The festival of the same name was held for the first time in 2012, every two years. This year’s guest is Caleb Hudson, a trumpeter who was a member of the prestigious Canadian Brass for a decade. He currently teaches at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas and recently released a solo album entitled “Nothing Less”. With musical direction from violinist José Pereira, she will be performing in this Closing Concert of the Almost6 International Trumpet Festival with the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa to play music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi… but not only!
