Tickets for saleThis is the kind of concert where you just want to sit and listen, for brief moments spared from the daily rush, to contemplate melodies that are accompanied on the piano by the unmistakable “voices” of the clarinet and cello. Above all, delivered in the hands of two composers whose signature guarantees us that everything will happen in the best possible way. We begin with Robert Schumann, who in 1849 composed the three “Fantasy Pieces” Op. 73. These are poetic miniatures that are spoken with the same pretension as someone telling stories to a child. Then, six of the most beautiful songs by Johannes Brahms, but here intoned by the cello in the company of the piano. Among them, the most famous is the Lullaby Op. 49/4. Finally, the Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano Op. 114 by the same Brahms, a score in which everything proves to be essential.
