Waltzes, polkas, operetta overtures and marches from the Strauss family: these are the four main elements of the New Year’s Concert founded in Vienna in 1939. The tradition was, and remains – today expanded on a global scale. But the world has changed a lot since then, and so has the quintessence of these moments. Always different, it depends on the renewed spirit and hope with which we always gather around music at the break of each calendar. Because it’s ours, it’s unique. There is no New Year’s Concert like it.
