Two students from Metropolitana were recognized in this year’s edition of the International Woodwind Competition in Oliveira de Azeméis, which recently took place and featured young musicians from various regions and countries.

Eduarda Carvalho, a flute student of Professor Nuno Inácio at the National Academy of Orchestral Studies (ANSO), was awarded 2nd Prize in the Senior category.
At the same competition, Pedro Doninha, a clarinet student of Professor Miguel Costa at the Metropolitana Vocational School (EPM), was awarded 3rd Prize, ex-aequo, in the Youth category.
The Oliveira de Azeméis International Woodwind Competition, now in its 16th edition, is one of the leading events of its kind in Portugal, bringing together young wind players across different instrumental categories and age groups.
The awards reflect the dedication and effort invested across the various areas of specialized artistic education offered by Metropolitana.
