A pianist of Serbian origin, Savka Konjikusic completed her higher studies at the Novi Sad Higher Academy of Art, where she worked with professors R. Jovicic and Velislava Palacorova. She continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she completed her Master’s degree with pianist Naum Grubert and Tan Crone (Chamber Music). He took part in piano masterclasses with Arbo Valdma, Konstantin Bogino, Gyorgy Sebok and Vladimir Tropp. During his studies, he won several prizes in national competitions.
He performs regularly in solo recitals and chamber music ensembles, in Portugal and abroad, in prestigious concert halls, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Many of his concerts have been broadcast on radio and television.
He has collaborated with several internationally renowned artists, such as Maria João Pires, Hansjorg Schellenberger and Françoix Leleux. He has taken part in several international music festivals, including the Laken Festival (Holland), the Bemus Festival (Serbia) and the Aix-en-Provence Festival (France). In 2008 he recorded a CD for the P&B label, with works by Chopin and Scriabin, and in 2014 with the Trio Cremeloque, for Solomusica. In 2020, a CD of works by Beethoven was released with the same group for NAXOS.
Savka Konjikusic also works as a teacher and accompanying pianist at Metropolitana and at the Music School of the National Conservatory.
