PIANO FOR CHAMBER MUSIC AND ACCOMPANIMENT

 

The Piano for Chamber Music and Accompaniment option in Bachelor Music Degree lasts for three years and prepares its graduates to achieve necessary requirements of technical and artistic demands involved in the professional performance of piano accompanist in different contexts, beyond the interpretation of the repertoire chamber music. The study plan balances the theoretical and practical aspects, in order to provide a harmonious development of the student’s skills.

In addition to the areas of Musical Sciences and Music Education, particular emphasis is given to subjects such as Sight-reading, Piano Reduction, Piano Chamber Music and Piano Accompaniment. Along the course, the student has the opportunity to perform regularly in public concerts, namely within the scope of the Metropolitan Youth Soloists program and in recitals with students from other schools dedicated to vocal and theatre studies.

The versatile and comprehensive profile of the Curricular structure of this option aims at a broad spectrum of the labour market, which ranges from music schools to performing arts, through community music projects and chamber music concerts within the classical tradition.
