Chamber Music is a fundamental pillar in the training of all musicians, but it takes on special importance at the secondary education level. It is during this age range that the significance of musical and personal sharing helps shape the young musician’s personality.
At EPM, there are on average 19 Chamber Music groups, ranging from brass quintets, wind quintets, large ensembles of brass, flutes, saxophones, clarinets, double basses, and percussion, to groups such as piano trios or string quartets. This wide range of educational offerings is one of the main strengths of our school, which, thanks to partnerships with various entities, enables these groups to perform numerous times at prominent venues in the city of Lisbon and other locations in the metropolitan area.
