Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra (ANSO) former student Guilherme Duque has recently been selected to join the Noord Nederlands Orkest (NNO), one of the leading symphony orchestras in the Netherlands. The young clarinetist earned the position of E-flat clarinet and second clarinet, marking an important milestone in his artistic career.
“I’m very happy to announce that I’ve won the position of E-flat / second clarinet at the Noord Nederlands Orkest! Super excited for this next chapter!” shared Guilherme Duque, who also expressed his gratitude to the teachers who have guided him throughout his academic journey.
Among his mentors, Nuno Silva, professor at Metropolitana, played a particularly important role in his development: “None of this would have been possible without them,” he said.
Guilherme Duque’s achievement reflects the high level of training and artistic excellence at ANSO, Metropolitana’s higher education institution dedicated to professional music education. This success adds to many others that demonstrate the school’s impact in preparing young musicians for the international stage.
