Physics of Sound

Tânia Cerqueira holds a degree in Musicology from the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she also completed a postgraduate degree in Educational Training and collaborated on research projects.

Since 2003, she has developed her professional career as a teacher in both General Education and Specialised Artistic Education at various public and private institutions. From 2010 to 2012, she was a guest lecturer at the Escola Superior de Educação Jean Piaget in Almada, where she was responsible for the Ateliê de Formação Musical.

Throughout her career, she has held several coordination roles, including serving, from 2020 to 2023, on the collegiate pedagogical board of the Escola Profissional da Metropolitana. Since 2015, she has taught History of Culture and the Arts and Physics of Sound and has co-supervised final project work (Provas de Aptidão Profissional – PAP) at the Escola Profissional da Metropolitana.

She regularly participates in professional development courses in the fields of Pedagogy, Teacher Training, Inclusive Education, and Music Education.
