Musical Creativity
Born in Azambuja, where he began his musical studies. In 1989, he joined the Banda da Armada and has been a clarinetist for the Dixie Gang since 1991.
Throughout his career, he has developed a very diverse activity, ranging from classical music to jazz. In addition to numerous recordings for radio and television, he has collaborated with important Portuguese musicians and most national orchestras. He is one of the elements of the Lisbon Underground Music Ensemble and Big Band of the Hot Clube de Portugal.
He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Évora, professor of Musical Creativity at the Superior National Academy of Orchestra and professor of clarinet at the Lisbon Superior School of Music.
