Yelyzaveta Valdman, born in Kiev, Ukraine (1993), began her musical studies at the Escola de Música da Cidade de Kiev in the violin class of Professor Marina Reznik. In 2001, she entered CEPAM – Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira in the violin class of Professor Yuriy Kyrychenko and simultaneously began her piano studies with Professor Cristina Pliousnina. In 2008, she entered the Curso Profissional de Instrumentista at CEPAM, which she completed in 2011, achieving a score of 19 in her Prova de Aptidão Profissional. That same year, she was admitted to the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra da Metropolitana, in the violin class of Professor Aníbal Lima. In 2018, she completed her Mestrado em Ensino da Música – especialidade de violino, in the class of Professor Ana Beatriz Manzanilla Barón, at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
In the field of Chamber Music, she also worked with Professors Vladymyr Petryakov and Paul Wakabayashi. Throughout her studies, she attended masterclasses with renowned violinists such as Zakhar Bron, Anatoly Melnikov, Grigoriy Zhislin, Sergey Kravchenko, Aníbal Lima, Gerardo Ribeiro, and Evgeny Buskov, among others.
She has been a member of the Orquestra Académica da Madeira, the Orquestra de Jovens dos Conservatórios Oficiais de Música (2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011), the Orquestra Académica Metropolitana, the Orquestra Sinfónica Metropolitana, and the Estágio Gulbenkian para Orquestra. As an additional player, she regularly collaborates with the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, the Orquestra Gulbenkian, the Camerata Atlântica, the Orquestra de Câmara de Almada, the Ensemble MPMP, the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, and the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira.
Currently, she is a teacher of Violin, Section, and Orchestra in the Projeto Orquestra Geração, at the Escola Profissional Metropolitana, and at the Conservatório de Música da Metropolitana.
