Instrumentalist - Professional Course

METROPOLITANA’S
PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL

The Metropolitana’s Professional School (EPM) was established in the 2008/2009 school year with courses for String and Keyboard and Woodwind and Percussion instrumentalists, both at the same level as the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades of high school. After ten years of activity, it is already possible to say it was a winning bet.

The virtues of integrated music teaching are well known, in which general education subjects are merged with specific learning; in this case with individual instrument classes and chamber and orchestra music practice.

Training in a work context, favored by the highly stimulating environment which characterizes the universe of the Metropolitana, results in a teaching model capable of educate young musicians capable of starting a professional career as instrumentalists, or to continue their studies at a higher level.

Conditions for Admission to 10th grade
9th grade of Schooling

Admission exam consisting of:

a) Music Training Test: written and/or oral test according to the syllabus of the 5th grade of specialized music education.

b) Execution on the instrument of two pieces and/or studies of the syllabus content or equivalent to the 5th grade of specialized music education.

The exams are of selection and seriation, according to the number of available places.
