Speech Therapist graduated by Escola Superior de Saúde do Alcoitão (2000), with post-graduation and Specialized Training in Special Education by Universidade Moderna (2005), post-graduation in Portuguese Sign Language and Deaf Education by Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2006) and specialization course in Speech Therapy – Advanced Practices in Communication and Language by Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico do Porto (2019). Master student in Speech Therapy at Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico do Porto.
Worked for 21 years at the Jacob Rodrigues Pereira Education and Development Center of Casa Pia of Lisbon, a school specialized in teaching deaf children, highlighting the co-creation, implementation and development of the RitmoS Project (musical project, since 2003) for deaf children and young people (from 3 years old), participation in the innovative project of specialized Early Intervention for deaf children (from 2006), and for the participation (monitor) with deaf young people in the Infante D. Henrique Award (2013-2016).
She has collaborated with several media (television programs and magazines) in order to publicize the Early Intervention and RitmoS projects.
Currently works at the ENT service of the Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando da Fonseca in deafness consultation (babies, children, adults and families) and language consultation.
