Vivaldi & Piazzolla – Eight Seasons

Sala do Arquivo da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa
Thu 26 Mar 13:00
Entrada Livre

The idea of placing the music of Antonio Vivaldi and Astor Piazzolla side by side seems very intriguing. However, it reveals surprising affinities between these two great musicians and brings together realities as distant as the two and a half centuries that separate them in time or the continents from which they come. The Solistas da Metropolitana – here in a trio formed by violin, double bass, and harp – thus alternate between the safe haven of the city of Venice in the first half of the 18th century and the port of Buenos Aires, the birthplace of tango. And everything sounds in harmony.
