Joana Carneiro and the Metropolitana meet again on a festive day. Together they perform an orchestral suite in which the names of the planets are presented as astral messengers. Alan Leo’s pioneering book The Art of Synthesis inspired Gustav Holst, who in 1916 recreated the idea that the planets of the solar system influence human personality traits. At the end of this programme, and in the turn of The Mystic (Neptune), place is given to the planet Earth. The symphonic poem Lisbon Earthquake, by Armando José Fernandes, evokes the tragedy of 1755.
