Tickets for saleBut what is music for anyway? It’s good for a lot of things. Also for eating? Yes, even for eating. In three volumes of musical scores published almost 300 years ago under the title ‘Table Music’, Georg Phillipp Telemann put together opening suites, concertos and conclusions that recall ancient traditions where music accompanied feasts and banquets. They were authentic musical menus for imaginary feasts. In this concert, the Metropolitan Soloists invite the younger audience to a simple snack, but to the sound of Telemann’s great music.
