Nuno Dario, born in Lisbon, is one of the most versatile and prolific Portuguese composers today.
He has been awarded several international awards including three Global Music Awards, two Lusophone Creativity Awards and the prestigious BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship Award in Los Angeles. His awards and musical works cover genres ranging from classical-contemporary music to music for advertising and cinema.
He is a composer at the trailer music-house Louder Productions in Los Angeles, where he creates and produces music for Hollywood movie trailers. He has worked with filmmakers from his home country, the UK, USA, Iran, Lithuania, and Angola, and created music for dozens of projects in various film genres. He runs the company Ad Music Fuel, specializing in music for advertising.
Nuno Dario studied classical guitar, graduated in composition at the Lisbon Superior School of Music and specialized in composition for cinema in Los Angeles (UCLA) completing the Film Scoring Program with the highest rating.
He holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, having obtained a research grant from FCT.
He currently works between Los Angeles and Lisbon, where he resides and teaches at the Superior National Academy of Orchestra.
